THE BRIEF
West Kent Housing was looking for an Asbestos Compliance Lead. They had worked with a managed
recruitment service but struggled to fill the role. They had seen CVs and interviewed candidates, but
none of them were suitable as they lacked the specific experience required in this technical position.
Their brief was for us to try and help where other agencies couldn’t.
OUR SOLUTION
As a specialist recruitment agency dedicated to the property services sector, we already knew the
perfect candidate. They were already registered with us and we had been in regular contact to
discuss their current situation. We sent their CV through to the client, along with other candidates for
comparison, straight after receiving the brief. Organising interviews within 24 hours, West Kent
Housing interviewed all the candidates we put forward and offered the role to one of the candidates
within just a few days. The selected the person we fully expected to get this role, because of her
specialist experience and her cultural fit. We made filling a difficult vacancy easy, quick and simple.
Over the years of working in property services recruitment we have met many candidates who say
they have dealt with asbestos, but few that are really specialists in it. We knew that to succeed in this
role the candidate had to be an out and out asbestos specialist, as they would be managing
